Terms of service
TL;DR: Jstmemit turns your channel's chats into memes. Memes are auto-generated, so they won't always make sense. Use it for fun, don't use it to cause harm.

1. The basics
By adding Jstmemit to your server, using the bot, or visiting our website (https://jstmemit.com), you're agreeing to these terms and to our Privacy policy.

2. What Jstmemit actually does
Jstmemit is a Discord bot that makes memes out of your community's conversations. Once it's enabled in a channel, it keeps a short memory of recent messages, images and GIFs, and every so often mixes them on a meme template.

3. Who can use it
To use Jstmemit you need to meet Discord's own minimum age requirement (13 in most places, higher in some countries) and be allowed to use Discord where you live.

4. Enabling the bot
Jstmemit does nothing until someone with the "Manage Server" or "Manage Channels" permission runs /enable in a channel. If that someone is you, you're confirming you're allowed to turn it on for that server, and you're responsible for letting your members know the channel's messages will be used to make memes.
You can turn it back off with /enable whenever you want, and delete stored data with /settings. If you wish to know more about what data we store and our retention policy, please have a look at the Privacy policy.

5. Your content
Jstmemit only works because it can read the messages, images and GIFs in an enabled channel. So by using it, you give us permission (non-exclusive, royalty-free licence) to store and use that content for the purpose of generating memes.

6. What you can't do
Please do not:
- use the bot to make or spread content that's illegal, hateful, harassing or threatening
- use it to deliberately target, harm or humiliate specific people
- try to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to the bot or the systems behind it
- abuse the bot to spam channels

7. Reporting a problem
If you believe a meme is offensive, infringes someone's rights, or you've just found a bug, tell us on our Support server or email [email protected].

8. No guarantees
Jstmemit is provided "as is". We can't promise that the bot will always be online, work without bugs, or that every meme will be funny, accurate or appropriate. The bot builds memes from whatever your channel feeds it, so weird or nonsensical results are part of the deal. We do not review or endorse them.

9. Liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, Wide Units and everyone working on Jstmemit aren't liable for any damage or loss that comes from using, or not being able to use, the bot or the website, including things like lost data or downtime.
If you're a consumer in the EU, you keep all the protections the law gives you.

10. Suspending or ending access
We can suspend or remove access to the bot or website, for a whole server or a single person, if these terms are being broken or if something's harming other users, us, or third parties.
It's as easy for you to stop using the bot. Disable the bot with /enable or kick it from your server whenever you like.

11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms every now and then. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always shows the current version, and we'll announce anything significant on our Support server before it takes effect. Using the bot after a change means you agree with the new terms.

12. Who we are
Jstmemit is operated by Wide Units, registered in the Netherlands with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 97552887.
General questions: [email protected]
Privacy and GDPR requests: [email protected]

13. Which laws apply
These terms are governed by Dutch law, and any disputes go to the Dutch courts, except where the law lets a consumer rely on the rules of their own country. Nothing here takes away the mandatory rights you have as a consumer in the EU.
